2 light setup.

I recently had the opportunity to work with a Michigan native currently residing in Juneau for some head shot work. I shot this with two lights a reflector and some much appreciated help from a friend. I bought a strip box some time ago but lately It's been getting a lot more use these days plus in my opinion it gives a cool looking elongated catch light in the eyes as opposed to your standard more "natural" looking round catch lights that you find in nature. I set the strip box up camera right at about eye level with my subject as my key light and tweaked it from there. My second light was an umbrella setup, I've had this setup for quite some time now and it still gets the job done. It's basically a strobe shot against a silver interior that bounces back through a diffusion material that connects to the umbrella. It's not the softest of modifiers but like said earlier it gets the the job done and It's fairly cheap for someone getting into off camera lighting/strobe stuff. and last I had my assistant use a reflector to bring some much needed light that was falling into hard shadow under my subjects chin. I had fun working with Leah and I hope my next shoot and blog post aren't to far apart.
